Engage

We are building a team of people committed to reshaping divisive narratives into Kingdom stories of unity and flourishing. You're invited.

Whether you are an immigrant, someone who has concerns about immigration, or you're somewhere in between, we're glad you're here. We're not here to convince you of anything, instead we hope to meet on common ground, with Jesus as our guide.

You don't have to be involved in politics to make a difference. Most of us can’t control legislation or how the media portrays ‘sides.’ But each of us we can effect change our churches and communities—that’s what the church was made for.

Ways to get involved

For more info on any of the following, please fill out our contact form here.

Monthly Zoom meetings. We host Zoom calls the second Monday of each month, during which we hear updates from the community, invite Latinos to share their stories, and discuss how we need to adjust or move forward as we continue on the PATH. You do not have to be in Greater Cincinnati to attend. We especially hope to see more Latino representation at these meetings.

Monthly Brazilian worship services. One Saturday a month at 6:30PM the Brazilian community leads a service in Portuguese. All are welcome to attend. If you want to stay for the meal afterward (and you definitely will), please bring a dish to share.

Presence. For the security of the people we accompany, we do not publicly share details about accompaniments. Once we connect with you and establish you're a real person, you will be notified of upcoming accompaniments. If you're not local, let's talk about what that looks like in your community!

Amplify. If you are Latino, we would really appreciate your engagement. Don't worry, we won't ask you to speak for all Latinos. We value your unique perspective and your presence. If you know an amazing Latino person, send them our way!

Tend. We have want to care for others, we have to be intentional and break out of our comfort zone. This could be befriending the owners of your local tienda, meeting with local Latino leaders, or maintaining engagement with Allies.

Hope. We can offer hope through resources and communication. As we grow, we need more help gathering, organizing, and distributing those resources, such as Red Cards, as well as communicating via social media and email.

Partnerships. We are currently pursuing 2 types of partnerships: those with churches in the US who are looking to engage the Latino community, and those with local Latino-led organizations who have already established those relationships. We are grateful to the churches and Latino-led organizations that we we have been invited to work with so far.

Donate. We are a ministry of Vineyard Covington. If you would like to give, you can do so here. You can also buy a "No estás solo" t-shirt. A portion of the proceeds goes to Latino Allies.
